Why zTab
A new tab that works the way you do.
The new tab is the page you open most. zTab lets you decide what it shows, keeps your page and your saved pages to yourself, and opens from the copy it keeps on the device.
Three reasons people move over.
Yours by default
zTab does not sell your data and does not build an advertising profile. It does store what sync needs — your account, the browsers you paired and the bookmarks you saved. Security lists exactly what that is.
Arranged by you
The background, the widgets and where each one sits are all choices. A template gives you a starting point that you can change as far as you want.
Opens from the copy it keeps
Your page is drawn from the copy zTab stored on the device, and keeps working for up to seven days before it has to reconnect. Fresh weather, AI answers and sync still need a connection.
In practice
Three ordinary moments.
The ten links you open every morning
Put them in a quick-launch grid on the page that opens anyway, instead of walking through a bookmarks menu each time.
A page that looks like yours
Your own photo or a looping video behind a clock in the style you like, next to the calendar you actually read.
That document you read last month
Save pages as you browse, let AI file them into categories, then search the library or ask what you saved about a topic.
Compared
The default new tab, and zTab
Default new tab
- A search box and a row of recently visited sites
- The same layout for everyone
- Bookmarks live in a menu or on a bar
zTab
- The clock, weather, calendar and quick links you choose
- A layout you arrange, or a template you change
- A searchable library with AI categories and answers
A comparison of what each page shows you, not a claim about how any other product handles your data.
End-to-end encryption
Your data, your key.
Notes and Tasks data is encrypted on your device before it syncs, and unlocked with an Encryption PIN that zTab never receives. Neither is in the widget catalogue in this release — Security explains what the protection covers, what zTab can still see, and how a new browser is unlocked.
